A 44-year-old patient with fatique and suspected myopathy was examined. A biopsy of quadriceps sinister was performed. Electronmicroscopy analysis revealed well-preserved myofibres and quite numerous lipid droplets (Fig. 1,2). Ultrastructurally unchanged nucleus laying under sarcolemma was seen but at the same time mitochondrial damage was significant – they were characterized by light mitochondrial matrix and lack of cristae.
